The wedding was just about my top favorite thing I've experienced/done since being here. All of you probably know how close cx (hannah) and I are. I was so honored to be her maid of honor! :) I could go on and on telling all of you the details but I don't know how much time I would use up doing that and it's getting late. Aww man! I just now thought about how it's pretty important for me to write all about it in my journal. uggh! It will take me FOREVER. Ok. sorry. that was random. Back to the point. The wedding was wonderful. I got to do all kinds of traditional things but mostly I was just simply thankful that cx chose me to be her maid of honor. I was honored. :) I will explain about each picture. That should give everyone a good idea about what went on. Enjoy! :)
Here are the "lovely" girls.
May I introduce the maid of honor and the bride.... Here we are with the lady who fixed our hair. She's pretty good.
These kids were too cute! They were watching us get ready. :)
WOW! I didn't realize how much food they fixed until I saw this picture. My job was to follow cx and help her 24/7 so I never went in the kitchen. Goodness that's a lot of food. My brother said they were stirring the soup and stir fry with a shovel. HA HA
The sun was on some of our faces and the shadows were in some but we're all smiling big. I think we we're laughing at my dad. :) The picture is of the maid of honor, the bride, the groom, and the best man. We're all really good friends with each other.
Notice the cross...

I think this picture is SOO funny. Went down under that thingy (dunno what it's called) to take pictures but I was the only one that was way too tall for it. In this picture, they're all looking at me and laughing. :) Then we took a picture with us squatting down. haha it was just for fun. We were laughing really hard. This picture would have been funny if xy(the best man) was doing it too. When I stood up when I thought I was out from under the "thingy" a vine caught in my hair. I was just stuck and so xy thankfully helped me get out of the trap. :) We made a thousand jokes about how tall i was, on that trip. ha ha ha
Aren't they cute?! I love em both! I just thought of something funny. Me and yb (the groom) like to pretend we are worst enemies. Don't ask why. haha When I first got there he asked me how I was and I said I was good until I saw him. He replied with a pretty good come back. He said something on the lines of... I was going to say the same thing to you but you beat me to it! He said something like that but I don't know what the best translation for what he said is. I'm getting horrible at translating because some of their words have no english translation. I'm really good at getting away from what I'm saying and being very random, aren't I?! haha
For some reason, I like this picture(the one with us looking back).
Isn't this picture beautiful?!?! I love the scenery. You can tell we're looking at the sun though. I just love the background.
This is pretty random but it's way too cute not to put on here. :)
I have no earthly idea what I was doing in this picture. ha ha
Here are some pictures of us just sitting down and waiting.
There's me looking strange agian. haha but everybody else has a good smile. Maybe I was talking to somebody. :)

Look at all the people!
Ok... let me explain this. As you can see in the picture with a bunch of people, there are some people sitting down on the benches. These are all the people who are related to cx. To each person in the circle, we gave sunflower seeds and candy.
First of all, we

walked out of
the house in a line. Cx's mom was in front, then me, then cx, then the groom(yb), and then xy. I was carrying sunflower seeds and xy was carrying candy. Cx went around the circle and called each person by a "family relation" type name. Like.. grandfather number two and cousin number 5 on my mom's side. Then, She would take some sunflower seeds from my pan and give them to the person. Then, her husband would call them by the same name she called them. Then he'd reach into xy's pan and give them a handfull of candy. After they got their seeds and candy, they would each give some money to a guy that was walking behind us. Sometimes they would give it to cx or yb and then they would hand the money to me and xy. It got hard to carry the money and not drop it and hold onto the pan. ha ha. I really enjoyed it. I think im smiling in every picture. The last picture is worth clicking on so you can see it enlarged.
How precious is this...

Time to eat!! Well, time to eat for everyone else except for us four. We still had to go around to all the people at each table and gan bei (cheers) with everybody at each table. MIght i just say that there were quite a few tables!!! :) All four of us cheered everybody with orangish/mangoish juice. I
can still taste it... blah.

Here's a picture of us standing and waiting. Cx was busy taking pictures with families. Hmm... I wonder why we're all crossing our arms. :)
Beautiful mom and Katibeth..
.
The festivities lasted long into the night. Like all weddings here, they sing and dance for a long time. A couple of friends and I hosted the show. It was lots of fun for me. :) We went up and introduced the songs/dances/skits and kept them happy. Cx and I got to sing together and I really enjoyed that but was really bummed/super embarrassed when I realized that my mic wasn't on the whole time I sang and no one heard me although they saw my mouth moving. ha ha. The newly weds sang and danced together too. It was a fun time. I only have a couple pictures of that because the photographer (dad) and the rest of the family went to go to sleep at about midnight. But we ate again for the third time at about two o'clock in the morning and I went to sleep at around two or so. It was such a great time! I will never forget it for the rest of my life. I'm so thankful for the blessing of cx and her husband. They have both poured sooo many blessings into my life. I love em!
Have a great day/night!!!!
With a bunch of joy,
Holli/ma li/former maid of honor :)
