Travel, Doctors, and shopping galore!
I just got back from Hong Kong yesterday morning. It was a successful and nice trip. I finished up school (yay) and then packed up my bags to go to the awesome city of HK. Man, I was dredding the Doctor appointments but I was happy to get back on a plane again. I adore traveling and airports and subway stations and finding my way around, and it had been two months since I had traveled! What will I do when we go back to the states?? :( Anyway, I had MANY doctor appointments planned and also a lot of shopping planned.
This time, we got to fly straight into HK. As soon as we got to the airport and exchanged our money, Jessica and I ran to Krispy Kremes. mmm... We definitely wanted doughnuts but what we REALLY wanted was MILK!!!! It was absolutely delicious and so was the doughnut. :) Before the milk, when we were coming out into the airport, there was an exciting looking crowd of people with cameras ready. You could tell that they were waiting for someone. As we turned a corner, a girl asked Jessica if we had seen "them?" They were holding pictures of what looked like a band. Jessica said.. I don't know. We proceeded to Krispy Kremes but wondered who might be coming. After we just finished our doughnuts and milk, we heard the loud screams from the group of people we saw before.
They were going crazy, but Jessica and my mom and I had no clue who they were screaming for. We did know that they were famous so we took a couple pictures and decided to look them up on google later. We found out that they were a band from Boston, but they did all their concerts and stuff in Asia. They're called "The Click Five. " Anybody know them? I just think it's cool that we saw famous people. :) That's a picture of the crowd gathered around them.
We got to the flats safely that night and had a good night's sleep after eating at McDonalds and buying more milk to drink later. :) The next day which was my mom's birthday was a busy day. My mom had a Dr's appointment in the morning which went SOOO well. :) While she was at her appointment, Jessica and I went shopping. I got a ton of clothes! :) Then, we ate at T.G.I Friday's for lunch. MMMMMMM mmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!! I could eat some more of that! yummy! Then, we went to my cardiology appointment. In the end, everything turned out fine and my results are normal but they had to run four tests. I had to do the stress test, do a blood test, wear a monitor for a day, and have a echogram done. Whew ee! But thankfully, my heart's as strong as an ox. The picture is of the monitor I had to wear for over 24 hrs. Oh and I had 16 electrodes stuck on me in only two days!
For the rest of the time, we just had a lot of appointments that turned out great. We did make
time to eat lots of good western food and shop. One night we couldnt go out and about because of all the rain so we were flipping though TV channels. We came to the "elevator channel." The elevator channel is the place where we could watch the inside of all the elevators in the apartment buliding. ;) IT was so funny! We got a kick out of watching people! We three even took our turns riding the elevators and doing funny things so the people watching could have a good laugh. ;)The picture is of us three just sitting and enjoying all the interesting people who got on the elevators.
I definitely took time to enjoy my carmel Frapps at Starbucks! :) I wish I could have one right now. *sighs*
The next picture is of my mom and I looking over the bay and the city.
The next several really cool pictures were taken by Jessica who is a great photographer! Her photography blog is echoinglifephotography.blogspot.com. She has some really cool stuff there so y'all should go check it out! Jessica also wants all of you to know that the blobs on some of the pictures were from something on her lens. Now, Jessica is correcting me and saying that the blob was not on her lens but inside her camera to where she couldn't clean it off.

I'm sure many of you have heard about the tragic earthquake in Sichuan province. It's truely a sad thing. But, I'm very proud to say that my dad has been and is there helping with relief work. We miss him very badly, but I'm excited he gets to help out there. He's putting in many water filtration systems and working very hard. :) This next picture is of the flags in HK at half mast. Three days of mourning were declared, and one day, everyone all over HK and the mainland bowed their head for three full minutues in rememberance of the earthquake victims. It was very sad but touching.
Hope y'all enjoyed all the pictures of the Asian New York.
Have a great great great blessed day!
Holli :)

Those pictures are really good.
But the best part is the elevator channel. That is too cool. I'm going to be paranoid every time I go in an elevator wondering if there is a hotel full of people watching me.
