Rainy season + mountains=landslides
I'll start off by explaining my post title. Landslides weren't a huge part of my trip but they were too scary!! On our way and on our way back, we drove over the top and into different landslides. I was just searching for a picture of one of the slides but I failed to find one because were too starteled to think to pull a camera out. haha This is one picture that I have of our road trip. Poor KB was such a WONDERFUL traveler. I don't remember her complaining once and she was the one being squished so bad!! Such a good lil sis.. :)
If you notice, my head is pressed agianst the window because of a really bad head ache. wow! it was painful!
Ok, back to my trip. When we first got into the city, it was AMAZING!!! I was loving it. The town was so authentic which you don't see much of here in this country. We were with our three friends who our family has become very close to. It started out as a great time. Well, the second day, it was COOOLLLDD and raining. that didn't change and it was getting a little hard to shop and do touristy stuff when it's raining and freezing cold. So, we were ending up sitting in little restaurants drinking coke, and getting dirty and wet. Anyway, we decided that we should just go ahead and go home so we did. But that's not just the end of the story. We still had a little fun before we decided to go. First of all, for me, I REALLY enjoyed being with my best friend of all times, Hannah. That's her English name but no one calls her that. I only use that name on here. ha ha Well, she moved from the TC, to the city that we went to visit. She's married now, I think I've said that before. Well, I got to see her house and spend some time with her. That was a VERY valuable time for me. I really really missed her. :( Here is a picture of me and her. She is so beautiful. Too bad my hair is messed up in that picture. She is just so gorgeous!!
On one of the rainy nights, we decided to go bowling. Let me just say that that's quite unusual for our family. Not to go bowling but to be bowling in the ancient city we were in. We are usually out on the streets and not doing things that we could be doing anywhere. But what else can you do when it's raining? We had lots of fun bowling that night. My friends didn't know how to bowl. It was their first time. I had to teach them how to play and they were so nervous about it. I decided to go easy on them. It turned out that I did not have to be easy on them at all. They made strikes and spares in their first tries and I kept on hitting the gutter. :)
haha They
beat me by a lot the first round. They're amazing. :) They kept on saying, "It's ok, Holli. You're just tired. " haha. (Yes, Kristi, I was about to say that. I am a loser anyways. )Kristi is my good friend who always reminds me about what a loser I am. haha :) I'm really not good at winning games. haha
Now, I have to tell you about the pros- Lydia, Josiah, and Katibeth( In the picture). They had their own game going on. It was tooo cute. :) Whenever they knocked two pins over, they went crazy telling everybody. :) Their scores were a sight to see...

Here are some cute family pictures.
Ok, now the second picture (you'll have to double click on it) is just about my favorite. I like both these pictures- our big family. And that sums up
out trip.
Leaving for a week
Hey Guys I'm writing this just as we're about to leave. I'm headed to a cool place 10 hours away for a week. This is our first break since starting school and I'm pretty excited about it! :o) My good friend Hannah is going with us. She's actually here right now, but we never got to talk too much. We're planning a great time once we leave. :o) The only thing I'm not excited bout is the long car ride there. We're taking a truck that seats 5 and 6 are going to be in the truck. Poor KB is gonna be tossed around quite a bit. I'm not sure how the roads are. There are gonna be a lot of landslides that's for sure. They're all over the place right now and that's VERY not good for us. We're hoping that we can get through. Last year, at this time, we went on a trip and we were caught for many days because of the land slides. Well, it's about time to go. Talk to y'all in a week with lots of good pictures!! :o) Nervously smiling, Holli :o)
